Known locally as whinstone for the sound it makes when hit by a stonemasons hammer, it provides a natural throne upon which the castle sits forty five metres above sea level.

Took my nieces to see the castle, It was a beautiful day and my nieces thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Impressive site and loved learning the history. Recommend visiting Full review by Lisa B

Wow..... just wow. We have an elderly Labrador so i walked alone from Seahouses along the beach to the castle and met family there. Nipped up a sand dune to be faced with an amazing sight. So imposiā¦ Full review by G B

Very foggy so no views but was great day anyway. Staff very welcoming. Lots to see and very atmospheric in the mist. A must visit if in Northumberland. Full review by Chirpydorcas

Bamburgh is a small village not a town Best bet is to contact the Castle. They had a little golf buggy to take people with issues up the hill to the Castle but not sure about mobility scooters ā¦

I'm sorry but I can't remember if there is a place where you can leave luggage. The ony thing I can advise is that you ask the team at the entrance where you buy tickets.
