We enjoyed seeing some of the historic houses in the area. There are lots of fancy shops and restaurants in this area. The area is well maintained. Full review by DiverM

Granddaughter (23) and fiance are visiting for the long weekend. Looks like the weather wont be for beach going. Can you suggest things to do if it is cool and raining? Good restaurant on the water but not too expensive.

I’m from Naperville- living in Naples now full time selling Real Estate in paradise to my northern friends relocating! I would suggest surfing Groupon for bargains first - there are a lot of discounts there! You can’t go wrong with a sunset cruise on the Gordon river or to Cape Romano to see the dome home. Pinchers at Tin City is a good pick with little shops filled with tourist finds, Docks at the Naples Public Docks is a great place to eat. Docs Beach House on Bonita Beach has the best original Chicago Italian beef sandwiches and pizza after 4 pm and it’s right on the breach! A little hidden gem too is Barefoot Beach off Bonita Beach Rd——amazing drive to this very beautiful secluded beach—-home to a super large colony of Gopher Turtles.

To follow-up, I noticed the one individual (Realtor) did mention the "Trianon Hotel". Again, very nice, rather unknown place in town. More interestingly, the guy "Mike" gave you the "great tip" (which I failed to read earlier - sorry) by mentioning the initials VRBO. I am sure, he like me probably attempted to type in a "period" before and after those initials as well as 3 w's before the initials and you can probably guess what three letters at the end (Charlie, Oscar, Manny) however, it is forbidden on Trip Advisor. More specifically, a person cannot submit an answer when this acronym is used in a sentence. At any rate, I believe "Mike" as well as "I" are giving you a good lead by suggesting you go there to find what you are looking for. Again, good to meet you and all the best to you and your family.
