Very enjoyable visit. Despite it being a ruin we were still able to access inside all 3 levels of the castles external walls and also get amazing views from the windows . Lots of information boards … Full review by Iman321

This place gets overlooked as it’s so near the epic Pembroke Castle but it is well worth a visit. The original medieval castle was enlarged in Elizabethan times, so it is a very attractive ruin in a … Full review by redunderthebed

The castle is a ruin but loads to see and access from cellars up to tops of towers. We spent a couple of hours in castle and grounds. Tea room served good refreshments and lovely selection of reasona… Full review by SallyHarris1962

Is the castle itself buggy friendly or would a baby carrier be better? (for an 8week baby)

The grounds are flat and baby buggy friendly. If you want to investigate the interior a carrier would be best. Note, some of the interior passages and stairways are very narrow as well …

The grounds are flat and baby buggy friendly. If you want to investigate the interior a carrier would be best. Note, some of the interior passages and stairways are very narrow as well as some over head clearance is very low. Would suggest carrying the baby in front of you.

We do not currently have a café on site, we hope to open one for the 2018 season. However, there is a small tea room near the Mill that opens in school holidays and the Carew Inn just across the road from the Castle and offers great pub food.

How much for an adult
A:
It currently costs £4.00 per adult to visit the Castle. From 25th March it will be £5.50 which includes both the Castle and Mill.
