Nintendo still is not ready to reveal a successor to its immensely popular Switch console just yet, but it is sharing some additional information that will come as great news to owners of current generation Switch consoles.

We’re getting toward the end of the year, a time for big game releases, catching up on older ones, and treating yourself to indulgent purchases as the holiday frenzy approaches. Here’s one of my favorite ways to save on new Nintendo Switch games,

"At today's Corporate Management Policy Briefing, we announced that Nintendo Switch software will also be playable on the successor to Nintendo Switch," Nintendo posted in a social media update attributed to company president Shintaro Furukawa. "Nintendo Switch Online will be available on the successor to Nintendo Switch as well."
