PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — U-Haul is offering free storage to those impacted by Helene at participating locations.

Helene has caused more than 50 deaths and brought widespread flooding and destruction to Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas and Tennessee.

U-Haul announced Friday they are helping those in need by offering 30 days of free storage at more than 430 locations.

U-Haul will be offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box portable container use for those in the path of Helene, which is expected to become a hurricane.
