The DoD Antivirus Software License Agreement with McAfee gives active DoD employees a free one-year subscription to McAfee Internet Security for home use on their PC or Mac systems. This subscription provides proactive security that can prevent malicious attacks and keeping users safe while they surf, search, and download files online.

The DoD Antivirus Software License Agreement with McAfee allows active DoD employees to utilize the antivirus software for home use. Home use of the antivirus products will not only protect personal PCs, but will also potentially lessen the threat of malicious logic being introduced to the workplace and compromising DoD networks.

The DISA Antivirus Home Use program is currently being offered to government employees and defense contractors with an approved.mil email address. The program provides a one-year subscription to McAfee Internet Security at no cost to the subscriber for use on personal (non-government furnished equipment) PCs and Macs.

The McAfee military home use program was reactivated in March 2020 in response to increased teleworking due to the COVID-19 or coronavirus pandemic. The program offers a free, one year subscription to McAfee Internet Security, for both Macs and PCs.
